Give examples of mass repressions in the USSR in the 30s

Mass repression is the general name for all the measures that were carried out then in the USSR and associated with exile, arrests and physical destruction of citizens. Such repressions could have a resonant character, such as the Shakhty case. There could have been plans simply launched from above to eliminate certain groups of people. Those, for example, were those who were considered kulaks in the years of collectivization – they could be expelled or simply shot in order to meet the figure set by the leaders.
