Rhizome – lily of the valley, anemone, wheatgrass, marsh calamus, blueberry, iris, nettle, fern. Tuber – potatoes, Jerusalem artichoke, dahlia, corydalis, crocosmia, hemantus, begonia, anemone, ginger. Bulb – snowdrop, tulip, onions, geacinth, daffodil, lily, garlic. All of them are modified shoots, differing in shape and performing the same functions, most are located in the soil, some on the surface. The last two are more or less rounded. The latter, along with nutrients, stores a lot of water.
