The leaf is a very important organ for a plant, the main functions of which are transpiration and photosynthesis. Most often it has a layer-like structure, variety of shapes and good plasticity (all of this is hereditary).
Humidity most of all affects the structure of the leaf, because thanks to it its structure is formed: 1) Hygromorphic (plants living in damp places); 2) Hydromorphic (grow on the banks of water bodies); 3) Xeromorphic (live in the absence of moisture); 4) Mesomorphic (grow in conditions of optimal moisture).
