The loudest was the so-called “Academic case”, during which many scientists were repressed (exiled or killed). Here are the names of some of them: Grekov Boris Dmitrievich, Likhachev Nikolai Petrovich, Sergei Vasilievich Rozhdestvensky and many others.
It is also worth noting the “Case of the Slavists”. This “case” affected art historians and philologists: Speransky, Selishchev, Trubetskoy and many others.
