Given a triangle whose sides are 8 cm 5 cm and 7 cm find the perimeter of the triangle whose vertices are the midpoints of the sides of this triangle.

In any triangle, the segment that connects the midpoints of the two sides of this triangle is called the midline of the triangle and the length of this segment is equal to half the length of the third side of the triangle.

Therefore, the sides of a triangle whose vertices are the midpoints of the sides of this triangle will be the midlines of this triangle.
