Given triangle ABC. K is the middle of AB, O is the middle of the BC, M is the middle of the AC. AB = 18cm, BC = 16cm, AC = 20cm. Find an example of a KOM triangle.
Since the points K, O, M are the midpoints of the sides,
KO, KM, MO – the middle lines of the triangle ABC.
KO = 1/2 AC, KO = 20: 2 = 10 cm.
KM = 1/2 sun, KM = 16: 2 = 8cm.
ОМ = 1/2 AB, ОМ = 18: 2 = 9cm.
We find the perimeter of the triangle KOM as the sum of three sides.
10cm + 8cm + 9cm = 27cm.
Answer: 27 cm.
