Given vectors a (-1; 1) b (0; 2) c (-3; 2) d (-2; 1) find the coordinates of vectors 3а + 2b-c and -a + 2c-d

To multiply a vector by a number, you need to multiply the coordinates of this vector by a number:

3a = (-3; 3);

2b = (0; 4);

2c = (-6; 4).

Then the coordinates of the sought vectors will be equal:

3a + 2b – c = ((-3 + 0 – (- 3)); (3 + 0 – 2)) = (0; 1);

-a + 2c – d = ((- (- 1) + (-6) – (-2)); (-1 + 4 – 1) = (-3; 2).
