| Heart rate is different at different ages. There are norms for the number of heartbeats per minute for different age categories. These norms apply to people in a calm state and a normal physique for their age. For children under 1 year old, this is from 120 to 140 beats per minute. Then this rate gradually decreases. Up to 5 years, the norm is about 100 strokes. Up to 10 years – from 80 to 90 strokes. From 20 to 55 is the norm of 60-88 beats. In older people from 65 to 70 years old, about 95 strokes are considered the norm.
