How and why is blood pressure measured?

It is customary to call arterial pressure the pressure exerted by the pressure of blood on the walls of blood vessels. There is a rate of blood pressure, and deviations from this rate may indicate that a person has heart disease or blood vessels. To measure blood pressure, special medical devices are used – tonometers, which, depending on the type, can be mechanical, electronic, semi-automatic and others.
