How are barbarians different from Romans?

Today we call people who destroy valuable and cultural monuments barbarians, cruel and ignorant people. In the ancient world, the Romans called foreigners who differed from them in the language of communication, culture, clothing, civilization, society and lifestyle. Some of the barbarians were nomadic tribes (Huns), while the Romans, moving to a new place, built cities. They surpassed the primitive tribes in their military power and military equipment, had a centuries-old culture.
