How are bases classified according to their solubility in water?

Bases are complex inorganic substances that consist of a metal atom and one or more hydroxyl groups – OH. The general formula of the bases will look like this – Me (OH) n. The number of hydroxyl groups (n) will be equal to the valence of the metal. In relation to water, these substances are divided into two groups – insoluble and soluble. Soluble bases are called alkalis. You can check the base for solubility in the solubility table, which is in every chemistry textbook.
