How are clouds and fog similar and different?

The common thing between clouds and fog is that both the first and the second consist of water vapor, that is, it is water in the atmosphere in a gaseous state.
They differ in that the fogs are formed close to the planet’s surface, while the clouds are much higher (up to thirteen kilometers). The second difference is that clouds also exceed fogs in density. The speed of movement and, if possible, the spread of the clouds is faster, and the fogs are more local. Rising higher by the winds, the fog can become a cloud.
