How are dandelion, chamomile, clover and plantain adapted to overwinter?

Many plants are able to withstand cold temperatures in winter. However, these are mainly plants of shrub and tree-like life forms. Dandelion, chamomile, clover and plantain are annual herbaceous plants that, in principle, are not capable of overwintering. They go through the growing season in one warm season, then shed their seeds. The seeds fall into the soil, are covered with a layer of snow in winter and are thus preserved. With the onset of favorable conditions, warming, increased daylight hours, the seeds germinate and new plants grow from them.
