How are feelings different from emotions?

Each person throughout his life experiences different events, shocks, feelings and emotions. What are the differences between the last two concepts?
Feelings are a persistent and long-term state, which, as a rule, a person is clearly aware of, and is able to control in some situations.
Emotion manifests itself spontaneously, and most often even intuitively, as a reaction to a situation that has happened to a person. We are not able to control it, since the emotion manifests itself outside and it is difficult to hide it.
To summarize, we can say that feelings can be expressed through emotions. And emotions themselves can easily turn into feelings.
