How are glaciers similar to rivers, and how are they different?

A glacier is an accumulation of ice on land, and a river is a stream of water flowing in a depression it has developed. Also, glaciers supply areas with water, often downstream areas. Glaciers and rivers have a feeding area. It is much higher in glaciers, and lower in rivers than in glaciers.
