How are horsetails different from lichens?

Horsetails differ from lichens in that they are simple organisms from the plant kingdom. And lichens are formed as a result of the interaction (symbiosis) of organisms from different kingdoms: fungi (in their place are often bacteria) and algae. Horsetails belong to higher vascular plants, they have a clearly divided body with root formations, stem, etc. They multiply by spores. Lichens, on the other hand, do not have a separate body, they form a continuous thallus and reproduce by dividing composite organisms.
