How are plants, animals, bacteria and fungi related in a community?

All living organisms have a close relationship with each other in food chains and the circulation of substances. So, for example, in lower animals, such as worms, food consists of organic matter from dead plants and animals. In this case, complex organic compounds are converted into simple ones. It provides good plant nutrition. Plants in the process of life are capable of producing organic matter, which serve as an excellent food for many animals. After the death of the animal, the next link is included in the process – fungi and bacteria. These organisms recycle the bodies of animals and plants, enriching the soil with minerals.
