How are raindrops born? why do they fall down?

Raindrops are born from ice crystals, usually in mixed clouds. These clouds are composed of steam, ice crystals and very cold water droplets. Drops are born from crystals. Over time, they grow due to the surrounding vapor and begin to fall down under the force of gravity. At the same time, they also capture small droplets of water. If the bottom is warm enough, then the little ice melts and turns into the rain we are accustomed to.
