How are religion and art related in ancient Egypt?

As you know, in Ancient Egypt, art played a very important role. The purpose of art was to give people immortality, to be an extension of life. But practically all art was built around religion and thanks to it, one might say, spread. Why is that? Everything is very simple, the fact is that the best temples were built for the gods, the best architects of that time were involved. The same applies to paintings and murals on the walls. That is why religion and art are integral things of that time.
