How are rocks of different origins formed?

In general, rocks by their origin are usually divided into three main categories. The first group includes volcanic rocks that form when liquid lava solidifies. These breeds are the most widespread. From their corrosion (or from parts of dead plants and animals) and under the influence of various external factors, sedimentary rocks (group 2) are formed, such as limestone, travertine, clay, etc. Under the influence of flowing water, metamorphic rocks (group 3) appear from sedimentary rocks.
