How are the buds located on the shoots?

Often, an apical bud is located at the top of the shoot, the rest of the buds are lateral. They are divided into axillary and adventitious.
The arrangement of the axillary buds follows the arrangement of the leaves on the stem. Each plant species is characterized by a certain arrangement of buds on the shoots. Poplar, cherry, birch, bird cherry, hazel have the next arrangement of buds. The buds are located oppositely on the shoots of lilac, elderberry, jasmine, honeysuckle and indoor plants: fuchsia, pilea, coleus, which are characterized by the same leaf arrangement.
Axillary buds are located in the leaf axils. Accessory buds do not develop in the leaf axil, but on internodes, leaves, and roots.
