How are tissues interconnected in the process of plant nutrition?

Plant nutrition consists in the absorption of chemical elements from the external environment (air, soil, water). The main route for obtaining nutrients is through photosynthesis. The plant receives solar energy from its leaves and stem, as a result of which glucose (sugar) is synthesized in the cytoplasm. In non-photosynthetic areas (root), water is absorbed from the soil. The exchange of sugars and water between the aboveground and underground parts of the plant is carried out according to a special system – the phloem tube. Thus, the vegetation receives the necessary trace elements and has the opportunity to grow.
