How can we explain the length of time neoconservative leaders have been in power?

This was due to internal and external political factors. Internal factors include: people’s disillusionment with ineffective government structures, which cost them dearly; lower living standards of the middle class in comparison with the same in other developed countries; cyclical decline in production associated with energy problems, rising inflation. All these factors have become the reason for the dissatisfaction of the general population and the desire for change.
