This military conflict was unleashed for the following reasons:

In Greece, in the period from 1821 to 1830, there was a war of independence against Turkey, in which Russia supported the Greeks;
Turkey in 1827 blocked the Bosphorus channel.

The fighting took place from 1828 to 1829. Russia emerged victorious from this war. A peace treaty was concluded, according to which several cities from Turkey went to Russia, and part of Greece received autonomy.
