How did a person at the beginning of the Middle Ages imagine the world around him?

The idea of the world around us was very, very poor. The most important thing is that people then imagined the Earth as the center of the universe, and the Sun revolved around it. There were also very primitive knowledge about nature. So people believed that everything that they see was created by God, that it was he who controls all the processes that occur, including weather events. It is logical, in those years the whole society was completely under the influence of the church, and science at that time was severely persecuted, and, accordingly, developed poorly.
