How did China’s wars of conquest differ from those of the Persians, Assyrians and Egyptians?

The whole point is that the Chinese in their conquests were limited to the lands of East and Southeast Asia. Basically, the Chinese conquests took place within China itself. On the other hand, the Persians, Assyrians and Egyptians most often went to war against other peoples and expanded the borders of their countries at the expense of other peoples and territories.
