How did Greek writing come about, and what did it matter?

Greek writing, according to modern historians and linguistic researchers, arose on the basis of the Phoenician writing, that is, it was formed on the territory of modern Asia Minor. The Greek alphabet is not associated with Linear A and B and enters into constant use in the ninth century BC. The creation of the Greek alphabet was the impetus for the development of many languages, including Latin and Cyrillic. Until now, the names of the Greek language exist in the system of mathematical calculus, in the natural sciences, to designate signs in physics, to designate elementary particles.
