How did Hannibal assess the actions of Fabius, did he consider them dangerous for himself?

Hannibal was greatly amazed by Fabius’ influences. Since Hannibal did not expect a major battle, Fabius’s actions caused confusion and fear.

Fabius, perfectly aware that Hannibal had nowhere to take the expansion of his army, annoyed him with small skirmishes, evading the battle itself. Therefore, Hannibal, naturally, did not expect decisive action from the enemy.

Instead of preparing for battle, Hannibal stood pointlessly with his troops outside his camp.

Then the battle did take place. Hannibal’s troops were forced to retreat.
