How did igneous rocks form?

Igneous rocks are rocks that have formed directly from magma as a result of its slow solidification and solidification on the surface or in the earth’s crust. Most of the earth’s crust is formed by igneous rocks. If the magma has frozen deep in the earth’s crust, then intrusive rocks have formed, and if on the surface, then effusive rocks. Intrusive includes granites, syenites, diorites, and effusive ones: basalts, diabases, andesites, rhyolites, trachytes, and others.
