How did platforms and folded regions arise?

The emergence of platforms and sweet areas is associated with the development of geosynclines. There are two stages in total: the first – rather long, but nevertheless – the main stage, characterized by immersion and sea regime throughout the planet; the second stage was shorter, characterized by intense ascending movements, as a result of which movements and collisions of lithospheric plates occurred, as a result of which folding areas were formed.

After a rather long period of time, during which the mountains were destroyed, and parts of the planet were covered with a cover of sedimentary rocks, the result was platforms.
