How did Spartacus die?

There was a battle on the plain, and the rebel infantry could not withstand the pressure of the Roman army, it began to retreat. Then Spartacus became the leader of a cavalry attack in order to go behind enemy lines. It was necessary to kill Crassus and change the course of events. The commander of the Roman troops left some of the soldiers in reserve, who struck at the right moment at the detachment of Spartacus. This allowed us to weaken the main forces of the rebels.
Spartacus was wounded in the thigh with a dart: dropping to his knee and putting his shield forward, he fought off the attackers until he fell down with a large number of those around him.
