How did the character of imperial power change under diolectin?

The imperial power under Diocletian (285-305) was divided by four people. It was Diocletian himself, his friend Maximian, their assistants Galerius and Constantius. Each ruled a certain part of the state and was obliged to take care of the needs of the population. Common actions had to be negotiated between the four rulers. Diocletian strove to establish the correct order of succession of power, he took away political significance from the Senate and united the state treasury with the imperial one. Diocletian was the founder of absolutism. He first began to wear the royal diadem and created a solemn court ceremony around him.
