How did the demos revolt against the nobility ended?

A popular uprising broke out due to high taxes, the brutal dominance of the nobility and the lack of civil liberties among the common people. The uprising was gaining strength and the authorities had to make some concessions for the common people:

1. Abolition of debt slavery.

2. Abolition of Drakont’s laws.

3. Establishment of an elected court.

4. Deprivation of the nobility of advantages in solving important issues of the life of Athens.

5. Introduction of a new form of government – the People’s Assembly.

6. Reform of the judicial system. Any free citizen of Athens, chosen by lot, could become a judge.
