How did the evolution of plant and animal cells go?

Plant and animal cells developed at almost the same time, and many changes in plant cells caused changes in animal cells. This is due to the fact that plants have an autotrophic type of nutrition, and animals have a heterotrophic type. Animals are unable to synthesize organic matter on their own due to the lack of plastids, so they eat plants. This made plants and animals change accordingly. Also, these cells have many similarities, since plants and animals belong to the same domain – eukaryotes.
