How did the geographic and natural conditions affect the characteristics of the Greek civilization?

Climatic conditions influenced the economy and life of the ancient Greeks. For example, on the territory of Greece it was difficult to engage in agriculture, and therefore, the Greeks were mainly engaged in gardening (they grew olives, grapes). Also, the ancient Greeks were engaged in breeding goats and sheep, which was most suitable for the mountainous regions of Greece.
