How did the peasants and artisans live in ancient Egypt?

Many people of different incomes lived in Ancient Egypt. Duties and opportunities were distributed among them. Craftsmen and peasants were considered free people in this state. The slaves were the most disadvantaged. They had no rights and freedoms. Peasants could go to court and engage in free activities. Artisans made products for sale. They made clothes, tools, weapons. They lived in modest clay huts with a thatched roof and an inner courtyard where they cooked food.
