How did the peasants come to be called after their liberation from serfdom?

A peasant reform was carried out in tsarist Russia in 1861. The result of the activities carried out by the table was the abolition of serfdom. The peasants were given personal freedom. Although the peasants received freedom, they did not have land in personal ownership and therefore were obliged to pay taxes for the use of the land of the feudal lord, and therefore they began to be called temporarily liable.
