How did the plants and animals adapt to life in the forest zone?

Plants and animals in the forest zone live in different tiers. Since the forest covers most of the light with crowns, plants and animals that are not demanding to light live on the lowest tier. More delicate plants for which light is important cease to exist inside a dense forest. Animals adapt and choose the part of the forest where adequate food is available for them in sufficient quantities at certain times of the year. Deciduous forests are accompanied by some types of plants and mushrooms, and others by conifers.
