How did the political map of Europe change in the 19th century? What events contributed to this process?

Due to the revolution of 1830, a new independent state appeared on the map of Europe – Belgium, it arose on the territory of the former United Netherlands. The Kingdom of Poland appeared in 1815, but in 1831, due to the suppression of the uprising, it became part of the territory of the Russian Empire. In 1809, the Grand Duchy of Finland appeared.

In 1878, Serbia finally gained independence, as well as Bulgaria, which in 1885 united with Eastern Rumelia. By 1881, Romania became independent, created on the basis of Wallachia and Moldavia. In 1871 the German Empire was proclaimed.

Thus, the process was facilitated by wars and revolutions.
