How did the positions of the revolutionary and liberal forces differ?

One of the main differences between them was that the liberals advocated a reformatory path in the country (carrying out progressive reforms), and the revolutionaries defended the goal of overthrowing the government by violent means. Also, the liberals were more eloquent in their slogans, even some of them suggested maintaining the monarchy, but still most of the power was to be concentrated in the hands of state bodies.
