How did the rich and educated Romans spend their time, and how did the poor?

The Romans knew how to have fun. At least one day a week, they held a party for themselves. Wealthy people used to visit brothels called lupanaria. The working schedule of such establishments was approved. On weekends, the brothel opened after three in the afternoon. There were painted pictures on the walls of the establishment, there were beds, blankets and dim lights. Rich and poor Romans attended the performance alike. Gladiator fights are a real show. The elite just sat in good places, but the poor did not.
