How did the Salon lay the foundations for democracy in Athens?

The word democracy is translated from Greek as “the rule of the people.”

It was Solon who became the founder of democracy as a type of government in Athens.

They introduced laws according to which noble citizens no longer had the opportunity to transfer the rule of the state to their descendants. That is, the class advantages were lost. And now the country was ruled by those whom the council chose.

Citizens belonging to three of the four estates were chosen as rulers. Everyone could be judges, depending on who the lot fell on.
