How did the teaching of Martin Luther differ from the teaching of the Catholic Church?

It should be noted that Martin Luther advocated separation from the Catholic Church. So the main thing in his teaching was the idea of man’s salvation only through personal true faith. That is, this meant that the salvation of a person depends only on faith in God, and not on the papacy with its church. Faith and forgiveness comes through God’s charity, and not because of any merit to the church. Luther also argued that all religious rituals do not have such a great value that the church attributes to them. He considered only the Bible to be the main source of faith.
