How do algae reproduce?

There are 4 ways of reproduction of algae in nature: 1) division of an adult in two (vegetative reproduction) or budding from the mother cell, 2) asexual reproduction – division of the protoplast inside the mother cell and its exit, 3) reproduction using spores, 4) sexual reproduction by the fusion of two cells to form a zygote, from which an adult then sprouts.
