How do animals adapt to changes in environmental conditions during the day?

Different animals adapt in different ways.

Some do adapt. For example, cats are able to dilate and constrict their pupils depending on the level of illumination, and warm-blooded animals can shiver to keep warm.

Some, however, choose a night or a day, and try to wait out the wrong time in the shelter. For example, bats fly at night, guided by echolocation, and sleep in caves during the day. Owls see well at night, but during the day it is too light for them. And ungulates prefer daytime activity, during the day they can clearly see where to run, and at night it is better to hide and hide.
