How do aquatic mammals navigate in space?

Due to the properties of the habitat, aquatic mammals do not have a developed sense of smell, but sight and hearing are well developed. Most often, they use the echolocation method for orientation in space. To do this, they emit special sound impulses that are reflected from objects and water. Aquatic mammals pick up the responses of these sounds, and thanks to this, they determine with high accuracy where obstacles, food or their own relatives are located.
