Chipmunks protect themselves from snakes due to the presence of a special behavioral form. These animals track dead enemies – snakes, and, biting them, chew on a piece of their body, alternately smearing my cover with this mixture. For some time, chipmunks are not recognized by snakes as potential victims due to the fact that they exude the smell of their relatives.
