How do molds differ from yeast?

Mold caused by mold is usually found in humid, dark, or steamy areas. Yeast is very common and can be found on fruits and berries, in the stomach of mammals, and on the skin. Molds are multicellular, while yeast is unicellular. Mold has a fuzzy appearance and can be orange, green, black, brown, pink or purple, yeast is white. Molds have microscopic filaments called hyphae. Yeast does not have true hyphae. Instead, they form multicellular structures called pseudohyphae.
