How do mucor and yeast multiply?

Mukor reproduces by spores (sexual reproduction). Spores ripen in round heads, which are formed on some of the filaments of the mucor mycelium. Ripe spores scatter in the environment and, under favorable conditions, germinate, forming new mucor colonies. There are two types of yeast – sexual (spores) and vegetative (budding). Basically, the vast majority of yeast species reproduce by budding. Sexual reproduction is used by yeast exclusively under unfavorable conditions, then their cells do not divide, but turn into acospores – bags with spores.
