How do plants differ from representatives of other kingdoms?

There are many differences and similarities between plants and organisms of other kingdoms. The main difference is their feeding method. Plants can exist independently, synthesizing organic substances from natural chemical elements (various minerals, carbon, etc.). Organisms of the other two eukaryotic kingdoms – animals and fungi – receive organic matter only from plants. Fungi enter into symbiosis with them or parasitize on them, and animals eat them (or predators eat herbivores).
